Announcements General, Emergency, Attendance, Grade and Nutrition Announcements are intended for "one-way mass communication" to members of a District, School, Class or Group.  Announcements will display in the preferred language of the recipient. Members are unable to respond to announcements.

Direct Messages Direct Messages are two-way conversations between members.  A direct message will display in-app and send a notification via email and/or SMS text message if enabled in the user's Notification Preferences. Members can respond to the SMS text, email or within the Direct Message Center. Any member can create messages in his/her preferred language and the message will instantly translate for the recipients to their preferred language. Recipients of group messages can see all users who also received the message and a response will send to all members of the conversation.
